Girl Scouts Celebrates Successful Partnership with Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation at Girl Scouts Love State Parks 2026
Girl Scouts of Silver Sage and Idaho Parks and Recreation come together to get girls outdoors and celebrate our State Parks.
BOISE, Idaho – Girl Scouts of Silver Sage spent September 11th and 12th celebrating the 8th year of Girl Scouts Love State Parks in Idaho, where over 140 Girl Scouts and their families explored the outdoors, learned new skills, and built a lasting connection to nature in collaboration with the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation and Three Island Crossing State Park.
Girl Scouts Love State Parks is a nationwide initiative offered by Girl Scouts of the USA in partnership with the National Association of State Park Directors. Each year, Girl Scouts across the country head outdoors to build confidence and strengthen their connection with the outdoors.
"Experiencing Girl Scouts Love State Parks at Three Island Crossing State Park was an incredible reminder of the power of outdoor exploration," said Dr. Angela Hemingway, CEO of Girl Scouts of Silver Sage. "Through our partnership with the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, we are opening doors for girls across our state to discover Idaho’s natural treasures, develop real-world outdoor skills, and build lifelong confidence. Together, we are empowering the next generation of leaders to step outside, take on new adventures, and realize their full potential."

This year, Girl Scouts across the state were encouraged to make their way to Three Island Crossing in Glenns Ferry, where they engaged in stargazing, hiking, and fun games and activities, all co-hosted by Girl Scouts of Silver Sage and Parks and Recreation staff. Continuing a valued annual tradition, Girl Scouts of Silver Sage is honored to partner once again with the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation to connect girls across Idaho with meaningful outdoor experiences and the many benefits of nature and recreation.
