Release Date: February 7, 2024

Location: 7000 block of SW 77th Street, Redmond, Oregon

Arrested: Putnam, Christopher George

Charges: ORS 475C.337, Possession of Marijuana (32 times legal limit) ORS 475C.345 Attempted Delivery of Marijuana (32 times legal limit)

Narrative:

On February 6th, 2024, at approximately 9:30 am, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Illegal Marijuana Market Team (DCIMME) executed a search warrant in the 7000 block of SW 77th Street, Redmond, Oregon. This was the result of a long-term investigation into the possession, manufacture, and delivery of illegal marijuana and marijuana items.

Putnam was contacted during a traffic stop where he was read and provided a copy of the search warrant. Detectives then responded to the residence where they executed the search warrant.

During the search, detectives located and seized an AR-15, two handguns, 152 pounds of processed marijuana estimated to have a street value of $100,000.00 and almost $10,000.00 in U.S. Currency.

The marijuana seized was pre-packaged and destined for the black market according to investigators.

The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office's Illegal Marijuana Market Enforcement Team (DCIMME) continues to conduct investigations into the illegal manufacturing of marijuana in Deschutes County.

We are asking the community that if they see anything or smell anything that they find suspicious of marijuana growing operations, to report them to the DCIMME team.

These reports can be made through non-emergency dispatch 541-693-6911 and through CannaFacts — Facts about Legal and Illegal Cannabis in Our Community (canna-facts.com).

DCIMME would like to thank the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Central Oregon Drug Enforcement team, Drug Enforcement Administration, Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office, Redmond Police Department, Bend Police Department, Oregon Army National Guard Counterdrug, Oregon Water Resources, Deschutes County Code Enforcement, and Oregon State Police.
