DPSST Rulemaking (OAR) Hearing Meeting Scheduled - 07/10/18

Notice of a Rulemaking (OAR) Hearing

The Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) will hold a Rulemaking Hearing for proposed changes to Private Security OARs 259-060-0010, 259-060-0060, 259-060-0120, 259-060-0135 and 259-060-0300. The public rulemaking hearing will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 PM at DPSST. DPSST is located at 4190 Aumsville Hwy SE, Salem OR 97317.

The public rulemaking hearing is an opportunity for interested persons to submit comments related to the rule changes in person. Comments submitted at the public rulemaking hearing may be verbal or written.  A brief question and answer session will be offered prior to the start of the comment opportunity.

Rule Filing Caption: Emergency suspension for failed firearms courses/qualifications; Changes due dates for annual firearms courses/qualifications.

The proposed rule change and the rulemaking hearing have been noticed through the Secretary of State. A copy of the notices, a summary of the rule change and the proposed rule changes are available on the DPSST website at https://www.oregon.gov/dpsst/SC/Pages/ProposedRulesPublicComment.aspx .

The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. A request for an interpreter for the deaf or hearing impaired or for other accommodations for persons with disabilities should be made before the meeting by calling the rulemaking hearing officer at 503-378-2432.

The rulemaking hearing is a public meeting subject to public meeting law. The rulemaking hearing will be digitally recorded and will be administered in accordance with OAR 137-001-0030.
