At 05:02 am Friday morning, 11/18/22 Douglas County Fire District No.2 and Winston-Dillard fire district responded to a reported structure fire in Winston on Mellor Loop, initial reports also stated three teenagers were trapped inside. 

The first arriving fire engine crew reported fire coming from the backside of the split-level house, and all occupants were accounted for outside of the home. The fire extended from the exterior of the home into one bedroom and the attic. Crews contained the fire to the one bedroom and extinguished hot spots in the attic. 

WDFD responded with 1 Fire engine. DCFD No.2 responded with 3 fire engines, and 1 Command vehicle.  Fire Crews were assisted by DCSO, Winston Police Department, Avista gas, and PP&L.
