Douglas County Fire District No. 2 holds recruitment day for UCC Baseball Team (Photo) - 10/04/22

Douglas County Fire District No.2 is holding a recruitment day for the Umpqua Community College baseball team Thursday September 22.  The baseball team has approximately 50 student/athletes participating.  The day will be broken into 2 sessions starting 8-12 and then 1-5 at the Melrose Fire Station (2830 Melrose Rd.) The student/athletes will learn about the fire service, our scholarship program and the UCC Fire Science/Paramedic program.  They will then utilize the training grounds to go through our modified annual physical agility test.

BOARD REGULAR MEETING NOTICE

The Board of Directors of Douglas County Fire District No. 2 will hold its Regular Board meeting at DCFD#2 Fire Station 655 at 6000 Garden Valley Rd. Roseburg, OR on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. To comply with House Bill 2560, those that wish to participate can attend through videoconferencing or telephonically. If you plan on attending the meeting, please call the business office at 541-673-5503 during normal business hours prior to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, for instructions. 

The Board agenda to include but not limited to:                    

  1. Monthly Financials
  2. Auditor Communication
  3. Annexation Request
  4. SDAO Best Practices Assessment Summary 

The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities.  A request for an interpreter for the hearing impaired or for other accommodations for persons with disabilities should be made at least 48 hours before the meeting to DCFD #2 at 673-5503.

NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE MEDCOM BOARD OF DIRECTORS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the MedCom Ambulance Authority Board of Directors will hold a regular meeting and a special budget meeting on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at 1290 NE Cedar Street.

Regular meeting agenda items include monthly financials, service provider reports, provider distribution, ambulance billing rates, and auditor communication. 

If you wish to participate by videoconference or by telephone, or anyone desiring more information regarding the meeting, please contact the MedCom Administrator at (541) 673-5503 during normal business hours prior to 11:00 am on Thursday, September 15, 2022.
