Narrative:
On June 26th at 11:34 pm, a Bend Police Officer made a traffic stop on Cooley Road and Highway 97.
During the traffic stop, an officer involved shooting occurred. The driver of the vehicle is deceased. Two Bend Police Officers were involved in this incident.
The Deschutes County Major Incident Team has been activated, following the investigative protocols outlined in Senate Bill 111. Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office will be the lead investigative agency.
Any future information will be released in coordination with the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office.
