Hoodland Fire responds to Semi overturned on Highway 26 8/27/19 (photos) (Photo) - 08/27/19

This afternoon at 3:42 PM Hoodland Fire District units were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Highway 26, approximately at mile post 50. HFD units arrived to find a semi-truck hauling scrap metal on its side blocking the east bound lanes of Highway 26 and leaking diesel fuel. The driver of the truck was un-injured and was able to exit the truck on his own.  Hoodland Fire coordinated with Oregon State Police (OSP), Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office to close the highway due to scrap metal pieces in all lanes Hoodland Fire contained the diesel leak. ODOT and OSP remained on scene. 

 

Hoodland Fire responded to the incident with 1 engine, 1 rescue unit and the fire chief. They were assisted by Sandy Fire District.
