UPDATE: Missing Child Located Safe (Photo) - 09/14/26

Cornelius Police Department deputies have located 6-year-old Nicholas Jose-Alehando. He has been found safe.

 

Thank you to the community for the tips and video checks. No further assistance is needed.

 


Washington County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help locating 6-year-old Nicholas Jose-Alehando.

 

Nicholas was last seen around 10 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2026, walking south on 9th Avenue from Adair Street near the Cornelius Space Age, 845 N Adair Street, Cornelius.

 

He is a Hispanic male juvenile, 4 to 5 feet tall, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and red and black shoes.

 

Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue has been activated to assist in the search.

 

Anyone in the area is asked to check overnight video footage and contact detectives if Nicholas appears on camera.

 

Anyone with information is asked to call non-emergency dispatch at 503-629-0111 and reference case number 50-26-12992.  If you see Nicholas, call 911 immediately.
