On Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy located a 1994 Toyota Camry linked to a recent burglary, with two people inside, driving through Aloha. The deputy attempted to stop the driver, but the driver started to elude. The deputy initiated a pursuit while requesting assistance from other deputies and officers in the area.
Within minutes, the deputy could see traffic congestion ahead and terminated the pursuit for safety. The driver of the Camry continued at a high rate of speed. At the same time, Sheriff’s Office deputies and Beaverton Police Department officers arrived to assist, along with a drone from the Drone as First Responder (DFR) program.
With DFR overhead, the drone operator was notified that the Camry passenger got out of the car near the intersection of SW Farmington Road and SW Kinnaman Road, while the driver sped off. The DFR operator located the vehicle's passenger and directed deputies to her.
Dispatch began receiving calls of a traffic crash involving the Camry at SW Farmington Road and SW 141st Avenue in Beaverton. Callers reported that the driver of the Camry had run from the scene. Deputies arrived at the crash and discovered the Camry driver had hit a car head-on, pushing it into another car. Victims inside both vehicles sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene by medical personnel.
Deputies and officers contained the area, and DFR launched a second drone to search for the running driver. The DFR operator located the driver moving through residential yards and coordinated with patrol units to take him into custody.
Deputies arrested the driver, 32-year-old Jesus Cisneros-Vite of Beaverton, and transported him to the Washington County Jail. Cisneros-Vite was lodged on the following charges:
- Attempt to elude in a vehicle
- Reckless driving
- Hit and run – two counts
- Criminal mischief
- Felony warrant from the Department of Corrections
