Rideshare Driver Sexually Assaults Woman; Additional Victims Sought (Photo) - 11/23/21

On Sunday, October 24, 2021, Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies were contacted by a community member who said they had been sexually assaulted. The victim told deputies they had been at a family member's house on the night of October 23 and eventually requested a ride home through Lyft. The Lyft driver, 32-year-old Omar Al Naser, picked the victim up in his vehicle, but instead of taking them to their desired destination, Al Naser took them back to his home, where the sexual assault occurred.

On Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 10:55 a.m., Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Al Naser at his home in Beaverton for crimes related to a sexual assault case in the early morning hours of October 24.

Al Naser was lodged in the Washington County Jail on the following charges:

  • Rape in the first degree
  • Sodomy in the first degree
  • Sexual abuse in the first degree
  • Kidnapping in the first degree

Deputies believe there could be additional victims of Al Naser and want to hear from them. If you have any information on this case or know of other information related to Al Naser, please call (503) 629-0111.
