UPDATE: Missing Woman's Body Found In Hagg Lake -03/13/21

On Friday, March 12, 2021, just after 2:30 p.m., a boater found a woman’s body in Henry Hagg Lake near Boat Ramp C. Deputies identified the body as 38-year-old Tara Callahan, who had been missing since February 5 in the same area.

Ms. Callahan’s body was taken to the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office. On Saturday, March 13, an autopsy was performed and the Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Ms. Callahan’s death a suicide.

Sheriff’s Office Searching for Missing Woman at Hagg Lake

On Friday, February 5, 2021, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to an apartment complex in Aloha, where they learned about a woman who may be a danger to herself. It was reported to deputies that Tara Callahan, age 38, was headed to Henry Hagg Lake to possibly drown herself.

Deputies located Ms. Callahan’s vehicle at Boat Ramp C at Hagg Lake but were unable to locate her.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team utilized several cadets and other teams to look in the wooded area and shoreline around the lake and the Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol checked the water. The Remotely Operated Vehicle Team also used an unmanned aircraft (drone) to search for Ms. Callahan.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Dive/Rescue Team assisted in searching the waters around Boat Ramp C over the weekend, but were unable to locate her.
