Pedestrian Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries Following Traffic Crash on Pacific Highway (Photo) - 07/11/18

July 11, 2018 – A pedestrian suffered critical, life-threatening injuries when she was struck by a vehicle on Pacific Highway south of King City. Speed or impairment are not believed to be factors in this crash.

On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 10:10 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a traffic crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian in the 17000 block of Pacific Highway outside of King City.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue provided medical aid and transported the injured 25-year-old female pedestrian to a local hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. 

Based on preliminary information gathered, investigators believe the pedestrian was crossing Pacific Highway when she was struck by a gray Ford Explorer traveling southbound. The driver, an adult male, remained at the crash scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Speed or impairment are not believed to be factors in this crash.

Pacific Highway was closed to southbound traffic between Southwest Fischer Road and Southwest 124th Avenue for approximately three hours.

The inter-agency Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) responded to assist in the traffic crash investigation [read more]. King City Police assisted during the incident.
