News Release
Two Pacific University Football Players Arrested for Robbery - 03/17/18

On Saturday, March 17, 2018 just after 5 p.m., Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies serving the City of Cornelius responded to a disturbance in the 2800 block of North Davis Court. Deputies learned 18-year-old Christopher Goosby from California and 19-year-old Jeremy McGoldrick from Hawaii went to the house to buy marijuana from an 18-year-old man and physically attacked him. Goosby and McGoldrick, both members of the Pacific University football team, left in a car before police arrived.

About 45 minutes later, deputies were called back to the house on a report of 15 people fighting in the street. Deputies learned Goosby and McGoldrick had returned with multiple additional members of the Pacific University football team. Goosby physically fought with the same 18-year-old man, before McGoldrick and he threatened to return a third time with more men. Again, Goosby and McGoldrick and their friends fled before police got to the scene.

With the help of Forest Grove Police and Pacific University security staff, deputies found Goosby and McGoldrick in a dorm room on the Pacific University campus in Forest Grove and arrested them without incident. Both Goosby and McGoldrick were booked into jail on charges of robbery in the second degree, harassment, and riot. Each man's bail is set at $262,500. Mug shots of both will be available in several hours.
