March 9, 2018 -- A 33-year-old man was stabbed outside a store in Cornelius early Friday morning. Deputies are searching for the suspect.

On Friday, March 9, 2018, at 5:47 a.m., Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies serving the City of Cornelius responded to a reported stabbing outside Fred Meyer, located at 2200 Baseline Street in Cornelius.

Deputies arrived and found a 33-year-old male suffering from apparent stab wounds near the garden center entrance. The suspect, who was identified as 29-year-old Samuel Lund of Hillsboro, fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Beaverton Police and Hillsboro Police K-9s, along with Forest Grove Police, assisted deputies in the search for the suspect, but he was not located.
