Southern Oregon Man Arrested for Sexually Abusing Disabled Teen

December 12, 2017 -- A southern Oregon man was arrested for sexually abusing two teenagers in Washington County. One of the teenagers is developmentally disabled. Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are asking for the public's help.

In June 2017, deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office received information that an adult male had sexual contact with a developmentally-disabled girl he met on social media.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit began investigating and located another teenage girl who also had sexual contact with the same male. During the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the male as Rusty Hendrickson, 38, of Sutherlin. Investigators obtained a warrant for his arrest.

On December 9, 2017, Mr. Hendrickson was arrested and lodged at the Douglas County Jail for three counts of sexual abuse in the second degree and three counts of sexual abuse in the third degree. He has since posted bail and has been released. Mr. Hendrickson will be prosecuted in Washington County.

Detectives believe there could be additional victims. If you have any information, please contact the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 503-846-2700.
