On Thursday, August 29, U.S. Representatives Suzanne Bonamici and Andrea Salinas, joined by TVWD Commissioner Todd Sanders and local mayors, will discuss the critical role of water and drinking water infrastructure in bolstering the Washington County economy. Following their remarks, they will visit the Willamette Water Supply System Water Treatment Plant, offering a photo opportunity set against the backdrop of this pivotal project. Media representatives are invited to cover both the speeches and the photo session. 

The Willamette Water Supply System Water Treatment Plant is designed to treat water sourced from the mid-Willamette River and will be a key component of the region’s water infrastructure. This innovative facility is set to begin operations in early 2026, ensuring a reliable and high-quality water supply for customers in Washington County.
