Trauma Intervention Program Awarded Spirit of Portland Award (Photo) - 11/15/17

The Trauma Intervention Program of Portland/Vancouver was presented the Spirit of Portland Award on Tuesday November 14th, 2017. TIP was recognized as Portland's Outstanding Community Group/Organization. The award was presented by Portland City Commissioner Amanda Fritz to TIP's Executive Director, June Vining.
TIP is a group of specially trained citizen volunteers who provided emotional first aid, practical support and resources to victims of traumatic events and their families in the first few hours following a tragedy. In 2016 TIP responded to 2,838 scenes of tragedy in the Portland/Vancouver area.
