UPDATE: Pedestrian Killed In Crash Identified, Driver Cited -12/05/24

The pedestrian killed in a crash in Southeast Portland Wednesday morning has been identified as Hong Huynh, 75, of Portland. His family has been notified of his death. The driver involved in the crash, April M. Oneal, 38, of Scappoose, was cited for Careless Driving. No further information will be released at this time. ###PPB### ***Original Message Below*** One pedestrian is deceased following a crash in Southeast Portland. On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at approximately 6:45 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to reports of a crash in the area of Southeast 109th Avenue and Southeast Division Street. When officers arrived, they discovered a crash involving one vehicle and a pedestrian. Unfortunately, the pedestrian died at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. The Major Crash Team is responding to investigate. Traffic in the area will be disrupted during this investigation.
