Man Killed In Shooting In The Sabin Neighborhood Identified (Photo) -10/31/24

The victim who died from Sunday’s shooting in the Sabin Neighborhood shooting is identified as Leno Batista-Guzman, 22, from Portland. His family has been notified of his death and provided the attached photograph for public release. The medical examiner determined that he died of homicide by gunshot wound. This remains an active investigation and detectives continue to seek additional information. On Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 2:01 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to the call of shots fired in the 4500 block of Northeast 20th Avenue. When officers arrived they found a man deceased inside a vehicle parked on the curbline of the street. The suspect or suspects were no longer at the scene and no immediate arrests were made. The Portland Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is investigating the case. During the investigation, Northeast 20th Avenue is closed between Northeast Prescott and Northeast Going Street. Northeast Prescott is closed between Northeast 19th Avenue to Northeast 21st Avenue.
