UPDATE: Suzan Barron Remains Missing, Sellwood Residents Asked to Check Yards

Significant search efforts were made overnight to find Suzan Barron, including by family, neighbors in and around the Sellwood area, and patrol officers. Unfortunately they were unable to locate her. With the clear weather today, PPB is hoping that area residents will check their yards, porches, and sheltered areas to see if Suzan may be tucked in somewhere. If she tried to walk home, which was just under a mile away, she could be somewhere in Westmoreland, or in or around the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge or even Sellwood Park. These are well populated areas and will have lots of people walking around today, which hopefully will mean someone will see Suzan and call in.

Despite widespread news media coverage and social media sharing, no tips have come in to police about Suzan.

Suzan is a Caucasian female, 80-years-old, 5’4” in height, 120lbs with gray hair in a braid. She is believed to be wearing a long black Columbia Sportswear coat with a fur hood, black pants, and black slippers.

If anyone sees Suzan or has information about where she is today, please call 911. Non-time sensitive information can be e-mailed to missing@police.portlandoregon.gov. Please reference case number 24-32943.
