UPDATE: Missing Endangered Woman Presumed Deceased, Suspect Arrested - 02/06/24

A missing endangered woman is presumed deceased and a suspect has been arrested.

On Thursday, February 1, 2024, a woman was found deceased inside a vehicle in Skamania County.

On Monday, February 5, 2024, a Medical Examiner determined the woman died of homicidal violence. While the Medical Examiner has yet to officially identify the woman, detectives believe the deceased is Jeannie Enyeart.

On Monday, February 5, 2024, detectives arrested Enyeart’s fiancé, Jon French, 33, of Portland. French was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on the following charges: Murder in the Second Degree and Abuse of a Corpse in the Second Degree.

Enyeart’s family has been notified of the developments in the case. No other information will be released at this time.

The Portland Police Bureau’s Missing Persons Unit is looking for a missing endangered woman and anyone who sees her is asked to contact PPB.

Jeannie Enyeart, 47, was last seen on Saturday, January 27, 2024, by her neighbors in the area of Northeast Holladay Street and Northeast 93rd Avenue. On Monday, January 29, 2024, law enforcement located Enyeart’s vehicle in Skamania County, Washington. The vehicle had crashed and was unoccupied. Given the circumstances, both detectives and family are concerned about Enyeart’s well-being.

Enyeart is described as a Caucasian female, 5’5”, 135 lbs.
