The search for the suspect in the Centennial Neighborhood has concluded and the shelter in place notice has been lifted.

On Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 10:14p.m., East Precinct Officers were alerted by a participant in the Facebook group PDX Stolen Cars to a possible stolen vehicle in a grocery store parking lot in the 14500 block of Southeast Division Street. Officers confirmed the vehicle was stolen.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Southeast 145th Avenue just south of Southeast Division Street. One occupant ran from the vehicle. Officers set up a perimeter around the neighborhood. The investigation suggested that the suspect could be armed, so the Special Emergency Reaction Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team responded to the scene. A shelter in place notice was sent to residents. Three other people in the vehicle were detained. The vehicle was recovered.

SERT officers located and arrested the suspect at 12:49a.m. No other suspects are outstanding related to this incident. The perimeter was cleared and the shelter in place lifted shortly afterward.

The investigation is continuing.
