UPDATE #2: Suspect Vehicle Sought In May Fatal Hit and Run Crash (Photo) - 07/15/23

Portland Police traffic crash investigators are requesting the public’s help in identifying and locating the driver of a suspect pickup truck that was involved in a May 24 fatal hit-and-run.

On May 24, 2023 at approximately 1:32p.m. in the 12200 block of Southeast Division Street, Lara Morrow was walking when she was struck and killed by a passing vehicle that did not stop.

The vehicle may be a green Ford F-250 or F-350 with a crew cab (4 doors), lifted suspension, and a matching green camper shell/canopy (photos). The photos, which are not high in resolution because the images were captured on surveillance cameras some distance away, are attached to this news release.

Traffic Investigations Unit (TIU) investigators would like to speak with the driver of this vehicle or anyone with more information regarding this incident, the driver, or the pickup. Please e-mail crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov attn:TIU and reference case number 23-135823.

The woman killed in a hit-and-run crash on May 24 is identified as Lara C. Morrow, 35, of Portland. Her family has been notified of her death.

A woman was killed after a hit and run crash in Southeast Portland.

On Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 1:37p.m., East Precinct and Traffic Division Officers responded to a report of a crash on Southeast Division Street east of Southeast 122nd Avenue. When they arrived, they found an adult female patient, who was transported from the scene by ambulance. Despite lifesaving efforts, she died at the hospital. Preliminary investigation indicates the woman was a pedestrian and was struck by an eastbound driver who did not stop.

The Portland Police Bureau Major Crash Team responded to the scene and is investigating the crash. During the investigation, Southeast Division Street is closed both directions between Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast 124th Avenue. Southeast 122nd Avenue remains open to traffic.
