The victim in this Roseway Neighborhood shooting is identified as 19-year-old Savon Marquis Davis. The Medical Examiner confirmed his manner and cause of death to be homicide by gunshot wound. Davis' family has been notified of his death and are requesting privacy at this time.

One person has died after a shooting in the Roseway Neighborhood.

On Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11:18p.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 3500 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue. When they arrived they found an injured victim in the street. The suspect or suspects left the scene and no immediate arrests were made.

The Portland Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene to investigate. Northeast 82nd Avenue was blocked to all traffic between North Fremont Street to Northeast Beech Street for about 5 hours for the on-scene investigation, but has been reopened.
