The victim in the May 14th Cully Neighborhood homicide is identified as Jose Valentin Perez, 30, of Portland. His family has been notified of his death and they are asking for privacy at this time.

The medical examiner determined he died of homicide by gunshot.

Three people were hurt after a shooting in the Cully Neighborhood.

On Sunday, May 14, 2023 at 3:34a.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 6500 block of Northeast Killingsworth Street. When they arrived they found three injured victims. EMS responded to the scene to treat the victims.

The suspect or suspects left the scene and no immediate arrests were made.

Detectives responded to the scene and are investigating. During the investigation, Northeast Killingsworth Street is closed between Northeast 62nd Avenue and Northeast Cully Boulevard.
