###ORIGINAL MESSAGE BELOW###

Search and Rescue crews are assisting Portland Police in searching for a missing woman in the Hayhurst Neighborhood.

Sophia Rose, 76, left her residence in the 6100 block of Southwest Boundary Street to go on a walk around 2:00p.m. She is known to walk her dog on the trails in the wooded area near her care facility. At 11:56p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to a call that she had not returned. They were unable to locate her in initial searches. The Portland Police Missing Persons Unit has responded to the scene, as has Multnomah County Search and Rescue.

Sophia is considered endangered as she suffers from dementia and other medical conditions and does not have her medications. She is not believed to be dressed for the weather.

The public is asked to keep an eye out for Sophia and call 911 if she is seen. Sophia is a Caucasian female, 5'6", 140 lbs. The attached surveillance photos show what she is believed to be wearing, black cardigan and black pants. She left with her small poodle mix "Sebastian."
