The victim from the stabbing on September 15, 2022 at 1:32 a.m., in the 2400 block of Northeast Rodney Avenue has been identified as 46 year old Justin Dale Valdivia. The Oregon State Medical Examiner determined the cause of Mr. Valdivia’s death was from a stab wound and the manner of his death a homicide.

A man is deceased after a stabbing in the Eliot Neighborhood.
On Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 1:32a.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of suspicious circumstances involving a weapon at a home in the 2400 block of Northeast Rodney Avenue. When they arrived they discovered an adult male deceased.
All parties involved remained on scene and no other involved people are currently being sought.
The Portland Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is investigating. During the investigation, Northeast Rodney Avenue is closed between Northeast Sacramento Street and Northeast Russell Street. The PIO is not responding to the scene. More information will be released when appropriate.
