A prolific graffiti vandal has a felony warrant for his arrest, and the Portland Police Bureau is requesting public assistance locating him.
Emile Anthony Laurent, 22, of Portland, is wanted for Criminal Mischief in the First Degree. In an effort to locate him, photos of him are attached. Laurent is a white male, 5'4" in height, 115lbs, brown hair and brown eyes. If anyone sees Laurent, please call 911. If anyone has information about Laurent that is not time sensitive, please e-mail crimetips@portlandoregon.gov attn: CE NRT.
This investigation was initiated by the Central Precinct Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) in February of 2022. Laurent is believed to be responsible for tens of thousands of dollars in damage. After many hours of work, investigators applied for, and were granted a search warrant for Laurent’s residence. In late spring, that warrant was served, and evidence was seized (photo).
Central NRT has been focusing on prolific and impactful taggers in a focused effort to address an increase in vandalism within the City of Portland. This work began after Central NRT received numerous complaints about graffiti from the community and business stakeholders.
