PPB FIT Officers Arrest Felon With Firearm (Photo) -02/17/22

On February 16, 2022, at 11:46 p.m., Focused Intervention Team (FIT) Officers were conducting extra patrol near Interstate 205 and Northeast Sandy Blvd, which has been an area that has received a high amount of gun violence. Officers observed a gold-colored Chevrolet Tahoe that was being driven carelessly. Suspecting that the driver was intoxicated, Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Officers contacted the driver and determined that his driving privileges were suspended. The vehicle was parked as a hazard and a tow was ordered. Upon inventory of the vehicle, Officers located cocaine, evidence of drug distribution, and a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun (photo). Officers arrested 28-year-old Colin J. Nacoste of Gresham. He was lodged in the Multnomah County Detention Center and charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Careless Driving.
