Vancouver Police have arrest a man for killing his 2-year-old child.

On Sunday, October 31, 2021, a woman called police to report the father of her 2-year-old child had taken the child to a different location and was threatening to harm the child. The man agreed to turn himself in to Vancouver Police, and the child was found deceased. Vancouver Police arrested 31-year-old Gustavo Villalobos-Carranza on the charges of Murder in the First Degree, Kidnapping in the First Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Investigators have since determined the homicide occurred in Portland. Portland Police Bureau Homicide Detectives have responded to assist with the investigation.
