UPDATE: Homicide in Humboldt Neighborhood - Victim Identified - 04/22/21

The victim found in the 800 block of N. Webster on April 19th, 2021 about 9:26 p.m., has been identified as 20 year-old Calvin Jerome Jackson III of Portland. Mr. Jackson’s family has been notified and provided the attached photo for release.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and determined Jackson died from gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.

This is an ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released at the direction of the investigators.

On April 19, 2021, at about 9:26 p.m., Portland Police responded to a multiple calls regarding a shooting near North Albina Avenue and North Webster Street, in the Humboldt neighborhood.

Officers arrived and found that a person appeared to have been shot, and did not survive. Officers set up a crime scene to preserve evidence and attempt to find witnesses. There is no suspect information at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released at the direction of the investigators. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the manner and cause of death.
