The driver who died as a result of the vehicle has been identified as 36-year-old Saw Poe Tu. The next of kin has been notified.

On July 6th, 2020 at 11:17 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the 10100 block of Southeast Powell Blvd on a report of a traffic crash involving a single vehicle into a pole. The driver of the vehicle was transported to an area hospital with significant injuries. The adult male driver later died.

The Major Crash Team (MCT) is continuing the investigation.

No additional information is available at this time.
