Update: Additional Information About Prior Arrest of Accomplice (Photo) - 03/05/20

On March 5, 2020 at about 9:00 a.m. Portland Police Bureau's Central Precinct Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) and North Precinct Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) worked with PPB's Detective Coordination Team in making the arrest of Dennis Davis, age 57.

On October 10, 2020 PPB released security footage of Davis breaking into a bike storage room and grinding off bike locks to illegally obtain the victims' bicycles. The video can be located here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IjAZwWBifs&feature=youtu.be

Davis was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of Burglary I, Criminal Mischief I, and Theft I.

The Portland Police Bureau has a Bike Theft Task Force. The Officers assigned to this unit partner with the bicycling community to focus efforts on reducing bike thefts in the city through education, awareness, and enforcement.
