Portland Police Bureau Seeking Public's Help to Locate Suspect from June 29 Assault (Photo) - 08/13/19

The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public's help to locate a suspect wanted in connection with a June 29 assault in Downtown Portland.

35-year-old Joseph Christian Evans has a felony warrant for Assault in the Second Degree in connection with an assault that occurred during a protest in Downtown Portland on June 29, 2019.

Evans is described as a white male, 5'8" tall, 150 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, and numerous tattoos on his arms, chest, neck, legs, and abdomen. At the time of the assault, Evans was wearing glasses, had longer facial hair, and shoulder-length curly hair. Evans' clothing on the day of the assault was tan pants, a black t-shirt with "Star Wars" printed on the front, and a multicolored bandana around his neck.

Evans has no local address and was noted as last living under the Burnside Bridge.

Evans' warrant is enforceable nationwide and he is known to have previously been in New York, Tennessee, North Carolina, Utah, and California.

Anyone with information about Evans' whereabouts is asked to provide information to the Portland Police Bureau at crimetips@portlandoregon.gov
