Overnight Shooting Investigation in Portland's Parkrose Neighborhood -- One Person Injured - 08/09/19

On August 9, 2019 at 1:02a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the 9700 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard on a report of a shooting. Officers arrived in the area and were unable to locate any suspects or victims. Officers canvassed the area and located evidence of gunfire.

A short time later, Officers learned that a victim suffering from a gunshot wound arrived at an area hospital in a private vehicle. The victim's injuries were non-life threatening.

The Gun Violence Reduction Team (GVRT) responded to assist with the investigation. Preliminary information suggests the shooting occurred after an altercation. No arrests have been made in connection to this shooting.
