Shots Fired in Hazelwood Neighborhood, No Reported Injuries - 05/11/19

On Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:08 P.M., East Precinct officers responded to reports of shots heard in the area of Southeast 117th Avenue and Southeast Oak Street. Officers arrived and discovered evidence of gunfire, but no injuries reported. They located bullet strikes to a nearby house and a vehicle. Preliminary information suggests that more than one person ran away from the scene on foot.

Officers conducted a search of the neighborhood but were unable to locate anyone involved.

The Gun Violence Reduction Team (GVRT) responded to assume the investigation and conduct follow-up.

There is no suspect information at this time.

The Portland Police Bureau works closely with Enough is Enough PDX, a community-led campaign aimed at encouraging people to take a stand against violence in the area.
