Death Investigation Underway in Northeast Portland - One Person Deceased - 03/08/19

On Friday, March 8, 2019, at 9:28 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report that a person had been shot inside of a residence in the 4000 block of Northeast 136th Avenue.

When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Responding emergency medical personnel determined the male was deceased. The other occupants of the residence are cooperating with investigators. The firearm believed to have been involved has been located. There is no identified risk posed to the community related to this incident.

Representatives with the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office are responding to this scene and will determine the cause and manner of death.

The investigation is in its early stages and no additional information is available this evening.

The Public Information Officer is not responding to the scene.
