UPDATE: Missing 78-Year-Old Woman Found Safe (Photo) - 01/05/19

Alma Jean Lafave has been found safe and reunited with her family. Lafave is no longer a missing person.

The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Detail is asking for the public's help to locate a 78-year-old woman, last seen early Friday morning.

78-year-old Alma Jean Lafave is described as a white female, 5'6" tall, 130 pounds. Lafave is believed to be wearing a white puffy jacket.

Lafave reportedly left her residence in the 5600 block of North Greeley Avenue sometime on Friday, January 4, 2019. Lafave did not return home, which is uncharacteristic.

Lafave has been diagnosed with dementia and is prone to confusion.

Anyone seeing Lafave is asked to call 9-1-1 so that officers may check her welfare. Anyone with non-emergency information about Lafave should contact Detective Heidi Helwig at 503-823-0797, Heidi.Helwig@portlandoregon.gov.
