News Release
Early Morning Stabbing Investigation in Portland's Rose City Park Neighborhood -- One Person Injured - 09/19/18

On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 4:48 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the Rosewood Manor Apartments, located at 4810 Northeast Sandy Boulevard, on the report a person had been stabbed.

Officers and emergency medical personnel arrived at the apartment complex and contacted the adult male victim. Emergency medical personnel provided the man treatment for his stab wounds but he declined transport to a Portland hospital for additional treatment of what were believed to be minor injuries.

Based on information learned at this time in the investigation, officers believe the victim contacted a suspect near a dumpster on the Rosewood Manor Apartment. As the victim contacted the suspect, the suspect stabbed him multiple times.

Officers searched the area, but at this time have not located anyone matching the suspect's description.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 30's, 5'8" tall, 150 pounds, wearing a dark colored baseball cap, black jacket and blue jeans with a patch on one of the legs.

The Portland Police Bureau Detective Division's Assault Detail will continue this investigation. Anyone with information about this assault or the suspect should contact the Detective Division's Assault Detail at 503-823-0479.
