On Friday, September 14, 2018, at 10:17 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a suspect in the backyards of several homes in the 3200 block of Southwest Vermont Street.

Officers arrived in the area and located a man matching the suspect's description attempting to enter a home. As the officers contacted the suspect he ran from the officers. The officers pursued the suspect on foot and were able to take the suspect into custody without incident in Gabriel Park near Southwest 37th Avenue and Southwest California Street.

During the investigation, officers learned the suspect had entered one residence and attempted to enter another home. Officers located a gun in the suspect's property; the gun was later determined to be an air-soft pistol.

The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Tyrone Livermore. Livermore was lodged in the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Burglary in the First Degree, Attempted Burglary in the First Degree.
The Portland Police Bureau Detective Division's Burglary Task Force is continuing this investigation. Anyone with information about this incident or Livermore should contact Detective Scott Chamberlain at 503-793-8389 or Scott.Chamberlain@portlandoregon.gov
