North Precinct Area Search for an Armed Subject - Subject Not Located - 08/11/18

On Saturday August 11, 2018 at 7:52 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the 15800 hundred block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard on the report of a person walking in the street holding what was believed to be a weapon.

The subject was described as a male black in his 30s wearing dark clothing and a red hat. Officers arrived in the area and saw a subject matching the suspect description. The subject saw the officers and ran into the nearby industrial area out of sight of the officers.

Officers established a neighborhood search for the suspect assisted by a Portland Canine Unit, the Air Support Unit, and the on-duty SERT officers.
The search units were unable to locate the subject.
