The PPB Disabled Parking Enforcement Unit is Seeking Volunteer Members - 08/09/18

The Portland Police Bureau Traffic Division's Disabled Parking Enforcement Unit will have an information table set-up on Friday, August 10, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., at the Hollywood Fred Meyer, located at 3030 Northeast Weidler Street.

The Disabled Parking Enforcement Unit is looking for additional community members who want to join. Uniforms and training are provided.

The purpose of the Disabled Parking Enforcement Unit is to encourage compliance of state and local laws and rules regarding disabled parking. In 2017, the group volunteered 7,235 hours, issued 2,333 warnings and 1,280 citations--assessing $236,760 in fines, and confirmed 37,551 permits.
