Shooting Investigation Early Saturday Morning Near Irving Park - No Known Injuries - 05/26/18

On Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 2:56 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of gunfire in the 3100 block of Northeast 7th Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and located evidence of gunfire in the 2900 block of Northeast 7th Avenue. During a canvass of the neighborhood, officers contacted several area resident who heard gunfire, but have not located anyone that witnessed the incident.

At this time there have been no reports of injury or anyone arriving at area hospitals as a result of this shooting. There were no reports of any residences or other property being struck by gunfire in relation to this shooting.

Investigators continue to investigate this shooting and there is no suspect description to provide at this time.

Based on the preliminary information, the Gang Enforcement Team will be conducting the investigation. Anyone who witnessed this shooting or who possesses video surveillance footage of the shooting is asked to contact the Portland Police Bureau's Tactical Operations Division's Gang Enforcement Team at 503-823-4106.

The Portland Police Bureau works closely with Enough is Enough PDX, a community-led campaign aimed at encouraging people to take a stand against gang violence in the area.
