Shooting Investigation Underway on SE Powell Blvd - One Person Injured - 05/19/18

On Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 9:40 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the 9900 block of Southeast Powell Boulevard on the report that a person had been shot.

Officers arrived in the area and located an adult male victim suffering from what was believed to be serious but non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. Officers applied a tourniquet prior to emergency medical personnel arriving on scene. When emergency medical responders arrived, they provided the man medical aid and transported him to an area hospital by ambulance.

Officers searched the area for possible suspects, additional victims and evidence of the shooting. At this time officers have not located the suspect associated with this shooting.

There is no suspect description available to share with the public at this time.

The investigation is in its early stages and information will be provided as it is learned and deemed appropriate for release. No additional updates are expected this evening regarding this shooting investigation.

Detectives with the Portland Police Bureau Detective Division's Assault Detail will continue this investigation. Anyone with information about this shooting should contact the Assault Detail at 503-823-0479.
