On Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 6:05 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of gunfire near Northwest Davis Street and Northwest 6th Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area of the reported gunfire and canvassed the scene, looking for potential victims, suspects and evidence. During the canvass, officers located evidence of gunfire on Northwest Davis Street between Northwest Broadway and Northwest 6th Avenue.

Investigators continue to investigate this shooting and there is no suspect description to provide at this time.

During this investigation Northwest Davis Street will be closed between Northwest 5th Avenue and Northwest Broadway.

Based on the preliminary information, the Gang Enforcement Team will be conducting the investigation. Anyone who witnessed this shooting or who possesses video surveillance footage of the shooting is asked to contact the Portland Police Bureau's Tactical Operations Division's Gang Enforcement Team at 503-823-4106.

The Portland Police Bureau works closely with Enough is Enough PDX, a community-led campaign aimed at encouraging people to take a stand against gang violence in the area.
