On Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 2:16 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a burglary in the 1500 block of Southwest Vista Avenue.
When officers arrived at the residence they contacted the homeowner. The homeowner stated an unknown person was inside the location and it appeared the house had been ransacked.
Officers learned there should be no other people in the home and entered the location to search for a burglary suspect. During the search they located a suspect that was taken into custody without incident.
The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Robert C. Gangewer. Gangewer was lodged in the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Burglary in the First Degree.
