###ORIGINAL MESSAGE BELOW###

On Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 11:25 p.m., North and East Precinct officers responded to the report of a robbery at Rounders Bar and Lotto, located at 11416 Northeast Halsey Street.

As officers responded to Rounders Bar and Lotto information was broadcast that two males entered the location and demanded money while brandishing firearms. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects left the location without incident.

Responding officers searched neighborhoods and located a parked and occupied Subaru Forester believed to be involved in the robbery. The Forrester was located in the 1700 block of Northeast 46th Avenue. Prior to contacting the occupants of the Forrester, officers placed spike strips on the perceived likely path of travel of the vehicle. As officers made contact with the occupants, the driver and passenger fled the 1700 block of Northeast 46th Avenue, driving over the spike strips which caused several of the vehicle's tires to deflate. Officers pursued the vehicle.

Near the intersection of Northeast 47th Avenue and Northeast Glisan Street, the driver of the Forester crashed into four parked vehicles. After crashing, the driver continued to attempt to flee from officers while in the vehicle. Officers were eventually able to take the two occupants of the Forester into custody without further incident.

One of the suspects involved in this incident was transported to an area hospital for a medical condition not believed to be associated with the crash or custody.

This investigation is ongoing. The identity and charges of the suspects involved in this incident will be released after both suspects are lodged in the Multnomah County Jail.

Detectives with the Portland Police Bureau Detective Division's Robbery Detail responded to the location to take over this investigation.

Anyone with information about this robbery should contact Detective Robert Hollins at 503-823-3441 or Robert.Hollins@portlandoregon.gov
