On Friday, January 12, 2018, at 12:06 a.m., East Precinct and Traffic Division officers responded to the report of a single vehicle crash near Exit 9 on eastbound Interstate 84.

Officers arrived on scene and located a white Honda Civic that had been involved in a crash and an adult male being administered CPR by community members. Emergency medical personnel arrived and provided the man medical aid prior to transporting him to an area hospital by ambulance. Based on initial information, emergency medical personnel believed the man sustained serious life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the injured adult male was the only occupant of the Honda Civic.
