Shooting Investigation Overnight in Portland's Lents Neighborhood -- No Known Injuries - 12/05/17

On Tuesday December 5, 2017, at 11:59 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of gunfire in the 9100 block of Southeast Duke Street.

Officers arrived and located an occupied home struck by gunfire.

No gunshot victims were located at the scene or have arrived at any area hospitals.

Officers were not able to locate any suspects associated with this shooting.

Officers learned that prior to hearing a gunshot; several men were heard arguing near the residence that was struck by gunfire. A witness also told police, a dark colored sedan was observed leaving the area shortly after the gunfire.

Based on preliminary information it is not believed the residence that was struck by gunfire was the intended target of this shooting.

Criminalists with the Forensic Evidence Division responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
