News Release
Early Morning Stabbing Investigation in West Portland Park Neighborhood -- Two People Injured - 12/05/17

On Tuesday December 5, 2017, at 12:16 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a stabbing in the 5000 block of Southwest Pasadena Street.

As officers and emergency medical responders arrived in the area of the call, emergency medical personnel located an adult male with stab injuries in a parking lot in the 10000 block of Southwest Barbur Boulevard. Emergency medical personnel provided medical aid to the adult man while additional officers responded to the original 9-1-1 call location in the 5000 block of Southwest Pasadena Street. Officers located another adult male with stab wounds in a residence on Southwest Pasadena Street. Emergency medical responders provided medical aid to the second injured subject. Both men were transported to area hospitals by ambulance with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

During the preliminary investigation, officers learned the injured men knew one another and were involved in a disturbance in Holly Farm Park, located at 10819 Southwest Capitol Highway. Based on information gathered during the investigation, officers believe that shortly after the disturbance, the men left Holly Farm Park and walked to the locations where they were contacted by officers and emergency medical personnel. Officers believe the two men were the only individuals involved in the disturbance.

Officers located and seized a knife during a search of the residence on Southwest Pasadena Street.

The Forensic Evidence Division responded to assist with this investigation. Detectives with the Portland Police Bureau Detective Division's Assault Detail will continue this investigation.

Anyone with information about this incident should contact the Detective Division's Assault Detail at 503-823-0479.
